November 1, 2011 - Where Is Slick Going?
Many people may be wondering where Philly Slick is heading and/or when we’ll be putting out new music. I think we have a pretty good plan for the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012. Here’s a few things we’re working on:
Noesis – The Way Things Work
I’m really happy about this album so far. Very hip hop – beats – lush loops and samples. In a way, I see this album as the sequel to “Notes from Underground,” my second album that I released nearly a decade ago in my senior year of high school. While I hadn’t yet gotten into sampling and my Triton-LE heavy production was pretty rough, the project featured pretty cool musical ideas and raw, unpolished lyricism. Anyway, the new album should be great.
As of now untitled Philadelphia Slick project.
We’re writing this album together. Recording all of our practices and just going. We’ll take off in many directions from there, but this is the start. No other information right now – but we’ll keep you updated.
Local Booking Outside of Philly
We’re going to play Philly every couple months or so, but we really want to work on venues located within 2 hours from out home base. PA, NJ, DE, MD, DC. We’ll keep you posted – but you can always email me at noesis@philadelphiaslick{dot com} if you’d like to book us or bring us to your town.
