Mixing for the new Noesis album – the way things work – is moving nicely. El smooth was in the new studio today and Matt Schwartz came through the other day to finish off sax for many songs. Production-wise I’m really trying to polish and keep the beats fresh.
At times its tough mixing your own vocals and beats, I think the key is to really stay objective and keep your ears fresh. If you sink too hard into the music, you’ll start uncovering things no one else is going to hear because you know its there.
Anyway, that’s it for now.
