September 19, 2012 - The Way Things Work Debuts at #20 - Now at #15
Big news outta Slickville: Noesis’ The Way Things Work is up #15 on the CMJ Hip Hop Charts this week (after debuting at #20), beating out artists like El-P and Killer Mike. This is a better debut than Talib Kweli’s new single as well as projects from Childish Gambino and Karriem Riggins (Stones Throw).
June 19, 2012 - Where It Came From
As long as I can remember, I’ve listened to rap music. Well, right after children’s music – it was hip hop. Never listened to rock or grunge music until I really started expanding my musical tastes in high school. The person resoposibly for my affinity of hip hop is definitely my older brother, Elliot. Elliot just always had rap tapes around, and I absorbed those into my brain the same way I absorbed his NES playing.
June 14, 2012 - The Way Things Work Album Release
That’s right – the Noesis Album Release Show is quickly approaching. I’ll have tons of copies of The Way Things Work on hand. Of course, Philadelphia Slick will be there to back me up. Don’t forget – Abstract Verses (another awesome live hip hop band) is also releasing their debut album that night – Brane World Scenario (look it up!).

We’d like to thank Ourstage.com and The Vans Warped Tour for inviting Philly Slick to perform at the Uniondale NY stop on Saturday July 21st. We’re really looking forward to link with younger music fans, as it’s not often we get to play all-ages shows – especially not massive outdoor festivals.
